Mountain Lion: eMail notifications

Mountain Lion brings the Notification Centre that we all know from iOS to the Mac desktop. Probably we’re all going to go mad and get every app to notify us of everything, at least in the first month!

Once the novelty wears off, one notification that will prevail is to get a message when you receive an email. Now if you’re inbox is like mine, being told every time you get an email is going to drive you crazy.

So check out the VIP functionality in Mountain Lion. In Preference there’s a drop down menu that allows you configure the behaviour, starting with All Mailboxes, just from Contacts or what I use: VIPs.
